Yep, I’m doing some figure studies on the evenings up to New Year’s… got a few to share with you. Each of these are 20 min. poses. My favourite is the final one, by that point my drawing was getting looser. Unfortunately this took longer than usual, because it was so cold in the building I could see my breath. I was literally wearing my trench coat and gloves while drawing while feeling VERY bad for the models! |

Congrats to Blue-Zoo Productions, who not only just turned 10, also won 2 children’s BAFTAs for Nick Jr’s “My Favourite Bedtime Story” (Best Short Form), and BBC’s wonderful “ZingZillas” (Best Interactive). For their 10-year anniversary party they asked several people to provide artwork to decorate the space, and here’s my contribution! |

That’s right… while cleaning out my desk on my last day I had to go through a stack of papers that resembled the nest of a 4 foot long rat… Despite this being a daunting task I surfaced with all kinds of little sketches I drew while rendering. Most was crap, but I found some interesting stuff in there. One is a particularly nice sketch of Iggy, the main character in the novel “Horns” by Joe Hill. If you want an unusual read I would highly suggest it. One of my favourites. And the sketch may turn into a painting next week… |

Some sketches for the upcoming Creature of the Week: The Bandersnatch. I will probably go with the first one as I think the silhouette is stronger than the second. The second is bothering me right now around it’s middle/hip area, maybe it’s too skinny there but it’s putting me off. |
